Essential Qualification

Associate Professor Qualification

For General Disciplines
• A recognized medical qualification included in the First or Second schedule or Part-II of the Third schedule to the Indian Medical Council, Act, 1956. (Holders of educational qualifications included in part-II of the Third schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in section 13 (3) of the said Act); and
• (ii) a post graduate qualification e.g MD (Doctor of Medicine)/MS (Master of Surgery) or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto in the respective subject or allied discipline.

Essential for Non-Medical Candidates:

• (i) a post graduate qualification i.e Masters Degree in the concerned subject or allied discipline; and
• (ii) a Doctorate degree from a recognized University in the respective subject or allied discipline. Note: The respective subject or allied discipline should be as in the table –I of Schedule I of the Medical Council of India- “Minimum Qualifications for Teachers in Medical Institutions Regulations, 1998”.
• Experience: Four years teaching experience as Assistant Professor in the concerned specialty in a recognized medical college. Two research publications in indexed journals in the concerned specialty during the period of Assistant Professor. Authorship in research Publication-Published/Accepted for publication: Before 8th June, 2017 -1 st/2nd Author After 8th June, 2017-1 st/Corresponding Author Note 1: Qualifications with regard to experience are relaxable at the discretion of Selection Board in case of candidates otherwise well qualified. Note 2: If a Diplomat of National Board (DNB) qualified candidate is working as Assistant Professor in a Medical Council of India recognized Medical College or Central Institute, he would require one more year of teaching or research experience to be promoted as Associate Professor over and above the minimum time frame for Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Master of Surgery (MS) candidate.
Assistant Professor Educational Qualifications
(i) A recognized medical qualification included in the First or Second schedule or Part-II of the Third schedule to the Indian Medical Council, Act, 1956. (Holders of educational qualifications included in part-II of the Third schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in section 13 (3) of the said Act); and
(ii) a post graduate qualification e.g MD (Doctor of Medicine)/MS (Master of Surgery) or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto in the respective subject or allied discipline.

(ii) a Doctorate degree from a recognized University in the respective subject or allied discipline. Note: The respective subject or allied discipline should be as in the table –I of Schedule I of the Medical Council of India- “Minimum Qualifications for Teachers in Medical Institutions Regulations, 1998”. Experience: (a) For the candidates possessing doctor of Medicine (MD)/Master of Surgery(MS) from Medical Council of India recognized medical colleges: Three years Junior Resident in a recognized medical college in the concerned subject and one year as Senior Resident in the concerned subject in a recognized medical College. (b) For the candidates possessing Diplomat of National Board qualification (DNB) from Medical Council of India recognized medical colleges or central institutes where the no Doctor of Medicine (MD)/Master of Surgery(MS) course running: (i) Three years teaching experience in the subject in a recognized medical college either during the Diplomat of National Board (DNB) course or after possessing Diplomat of National Board (DNB) qualification. (ii) The concerned candidate would also require one year of additional teaching or research experience in the concerned subject in a recognized medical college after obtaining Diplomat of National Board (DNB) qualification. (c). For the candidates possessing Diplomat of National Board (DNB) qualification from Medical Council of India (MCI) recognized medical colleges or central institutes where there are Doctor of Medicine (MD) / Master of Surgery (MS) course running: Three year teaching experience in the subject in a recognized Medical College either during the Diplomat of National Board (DNB) course or after obtaining Diploma from the National Board qualification
For the candidates possessing diplomat of National Board (DNB) qualification from centers other than of Medical Council of India (MCI) recognized medical colleges or central institutes: (i) Three years teaching experience in the subject either during the Diplomat of National Board course or after possessing Diplomat of National Board qualification. (ii) The concerned candidate would require two years additional teaching experience as Senior resident or Research Associate (Council of Scientific and Industrial Research) in a Medical Council of India recognized medical college or central institute. (e) Research Experience: (i) For the candidate obtaining Diplomat of National Board (DNB) qualification from centers other than Medical Council of India recognized medical colleges or central institutes, the concerned candidate should have minimum two publications (accepted or published) in the indexed journal (National or International as first or second author) (ii) In case the concerned candidates does not have the required publication, he must have a total of three years teaching experience in a recognized college or central institute after possessing Diplomat of National Board (DNB) qualification.

Senior Resident Educational Qualifications
MS/MD Degree in concerned specialty from recognized medical college. Qualifications and experience as per teacher’s eligibility criteria (MEDICAL COUNCIL OF INDIA AMENDMENT NOTIFICATION n. MCI-12(I)/2017- MED.MISC./115698). Available on MCI website.

PAY & ALLOWANCES:
Associate Professor Rs.1,06,000/-
Assistant Professor Rs.92,000/-
Senior Resident Rs.92,000/-

HOW TO APPLY:
a.) Candidate can walk-in and register for interview from 8:00AM to 09:30 AM on their respective days. Interview will commence at 10:00 AM
b.) Application shall be available at the Medical College building.
c.) Candidates should produce all the original documents in respect of all the parameters filled in the form during scrutiny on the day of Walk-in-Interview.
d.) Candidates are requested to report by 9 AM at the venue on scheduled dates.

e.) Please bring all following relevant Original certificates and their selfattested photocopies (1 sets), 2 copies of passport size photographs and the relevant certificates issued by the competent authority in the form prescribed by Government of India, Department of Personnel & Training for consideration of reservation to the reserved candidates. Failing which they will not be allowed for interview.

SELECTION PROCEDURE:
a.) Selection will be made on basis of interview of candidates which will be conducted by the duly constituted selection board.
b.) All eligible candidates should apply in the application format available at the registration counter (College building) on 08.03.2019 for Teaching Faculty & Senior Resident.
c.) Selected candidates will have to join immediately after receipt of offer of Appointment.
d.) The final selection will be based purely on performance in the personal interview.
